Woodcock Scoring & Interpretive ProgramCATEGORIES: Ability, Achievement SCORES: S; PR; AE; GE; RMI; instructional ranges; developmental level bands (comparative language index and CALP levels when appropriate)SUMMARYThe Woodcock Scoring & Interpretive Program (WSIP) is a computer scoring and reporting program especially designed for examiners using one or more of the following tests: Woodcock-Johnson Psychoeducational Battery-Revised (WJ-R), the Bateria Woodcock-Munoz-Revisada, and the Woodcock Language Proficiency Battery-Revised (WLPB-R). Examiners can administer tests from any one, or any combination of these batteries and an integrated, narrative report will be generated which will explain and interpret scores. A variety of reports can be produced including a comprehensive report, a customized report, or a summary report. Each report will include a table of all scores for the tests and clusters administered. For ease of use, the program includes a special feature that allows users to launch the generated report into a word processing program for editing or integration with other assessment information. Developed with careful attention to the ethical parameters of computer generated documentation, the Woodcock Scoring & Interpretive Program can be considered a model of "best practice" in the use of computer-assisted report-writing. The statements generated by the program are authored by Dr. Richard W. Woodcock, and the decision rules for interpretation are determined solely by the statistical properties of the batteries. Professionals who use this program can be confident of the accuracy and validity of the text that is selected to describe a subject's unique pattern of abilities. They can also have confidence in the procedures that are used to determine and describe the presence or severity of any psychoeducational discrepancies. Due to the time-saving aspects of this program, examiners will be able to focus their energies on the important qualitiative aspects of the assessment process, including integration and review of the information, making recommendations, and decision-making.COMPONENTSMinimum system requirements: Windows: Windows 95 / 98 / NT, PC with 486 processor, 10 MB free RAM, 16 colour VGA or higher resolution monitor, 5 MB free hard disk space, printer supported by Windows.
