O.S.O.T Perceptual Evaluation Kit

This is a practical assessment tool for occupational therapists. It assists in the detection of perceptual impairment in adults. The battery provides a wide-range screening measure for perceptual dysfunction in areas related to basic living skills. It is also used to determine the degree of impairment, to monitor change and to measure the effects of treatment and/or spontaneous recovery.

The O.S.O.T. Perceptual Evaluation originated with a study group of practicing Ontario therapists concerned with the problems of perceptual deficits. Research was undertaken to establish the validity of the O.S.O.T. Perceptual Evaluation. The results of this research identified ways to improve the battery and test administration, as well as the score interpretation.

The O.S.O.T. Perceptual Evaluation and Manual is the direct outcome of this study. Standardized through the collection and analysis of data on both a normal and patient population group and characterized by high inter-rater reliability. This has established the validity of the test as well as high score reliability for differentiating the neurologically normal person from the neurologically impaired. This provides the therapist with a standard method for administering and scoring the test battery.

L'ensemble complet contient le nécessaire pour les dix-huit testes avec un manuel en Anglais. L'addition du manuel Français vous permet d'effecturer l'examen dans les deux langues.

The O.S.O.T. Perceptual Evaluation Kit consists of materials for the 18 tests as well as the manual. Master copies of the Cancellation Sheets and the Score Sheets are included in the manual. These sheets are copyright free and are intended to be reproduced by the therapist.
