CTBS Form K Levels 9-14 (1998)

The Canadian Tests of Basic Skills (CTBS) is available for a variety of levels/grades:

* The Survey Battery is a shorter battery that assesses core skills in reading, math, and language. Science is not included in this battery.

 

The Levels 9-14 Form K can be administered at six levels (typical relationships between Level and Grade are shown here):

• Level 9 - administer to Grade 3
• Level 10 - administer to Grade 4
• Level 11 - administer to Grade 5
• Level 12 - administer to Grade 6
• Level 13 - administer to Grade 7
• Level 14 - administer to Grade 8 or early Grade 9

For hand-scoring, separate Test Booklets, Answer Sheets, and Scoring Masks are used for each of the six levels.

All other items for the Levels 9-14 Form K (Guide for Administration, Norms Booklets, Teacher's Handbook, etc.) can be used for any or all of the levels.

The Teacher's Handbook provides information on how to interpret assessment results and also provides Case Studies.

The Assessment Coordinator's Handbook provides more technical information and is useful to those at the school board level. It is available on-line.

Score Conversion software (a DOS program, compatible with Windows) is no longer available.

VOLUME DISCOUNTS

Volume discounts are given on single orders of identical booklets or packages of answer sheets, on one order, being billed and shipped to a single address. Discounts cannot be aggregated across titles or orders.
