GATB Courses

Nelson Education offers GATB courses throughout the year as demand warrants.   We now offer two different types of course, one for Administration-Scoring, and one for Certification. 

The Certification Course is described below.  For the Administration-Scoring Course, please contact Kristy and request an information bulletin with details, similarities, and contrasts for both courses.

GATB Administration-Scoring Course in Toronto:

October 7-8-9, 2013  (Mon-Tues-Wed)

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Certification Course registrants should have the minimum of:

  • an undergraduate degree, preferably in the Social Sciences
  • basic knowledge of elementary statistics
  • some counselling experience

    OR

  • a College Diploma or Certificate in the Counselling area
  • at least 2 years counselling experience.

NEW REQUIREMENTS as of 2004:

In addition to the above minimum requirements, each candidate for the Certification Course must be a member of an organization with a code of ethics covering assessment practices, OR  have a letter from his/her employer stating that there are members on staff with membership in such an organization and that they will take responsibility for any ethical issues that may arise from the use of the GATB.

Successful completion of the Certification Course will allow registrants to purchase, administer, and interpret the General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB).

Note: All courses are contingent upon a minimum number of 8 registrants and a maximum of 10.  Please register early.

Nelson Education also distributes the GATB to qualified individuals and institutions.
